About us - Wildflour Bakery

Welcome to Wildflour BakeryThe Directors of Wildflour Bakery Robert and Theresa Steel have been baking and serving in the Thames Valley for many years. First appearing in Windsor in 1995 with the opening of the Bakerstreat shop in West Windsor and later attending at the very first Farmers Markets in the area, Maidenhead Farmers Markets in 1999.

More locations soon developed both retail and wholesale and Roberts' bread, pies, pastries and puds became legendary. With a brief interlude between 2006 and 2010 when the family lived in Dorset running an English Vineyard, Robert returned to the Thames Valley taking over the original Bakerstreat and renaming the new business Wildflour Bakery.

Wildflour Bakery has been serving customers at Farmers Markets across the Thames Valley from January 2010. Customers have been able to rely upon the high quality baked products made from fresh, local ingredients using tried and trusted recipes. Wildflour produce the highest quality pies, pastries and breads with seasonal savouries always on offer. The ingredients for the hand-made products are sourced, wherever possible, from local producers and other farmers within the farmer market network. We use locally milled flour, English meats and all local fruit and vegetables where it is available. ( see our list of partners)

The Directors of Wildflour Bakery are now delighted to announce the opening of the first Wildflour Bakery retail outlet at 74, Peascod Street Windsor. The Shop will be open from 8am to 5pm Monday to Saturday serving freshly made sandwiches, soups, salads, pies and pastries to the lunchtime market and offering a Something for Dinner? range of handmade pies, desserts and cakes for the family fridge and larder.
